1. Who we are

2. What data we collect and why
Analytics (PostHog)
With your consent, we use PostHog (EU-hosted at eu.posthog.com) to collect anonymised usage data — which pages are visited, how visitors navigate the site, and where they come from. This helps us understand what content is useful and where we can improve. PostHog may store a cookie or use local storage to recognise returning visitors.
We also use PostHog session recordings and heatmaps (with consent) to understand how people interact with specific pages. No sensitive information is captured in recordings.
Contact form
When you fill in the contact form, we collect your name, company name (optional), email address, and message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to marketing lists without separate consent.
AI Diagnostic
If you choose to provide your email address at the end of the AI Diagnostic, we store it to enable a follow-up conversation if you’d like one. Providing your email is optional — you can view your result without it.
3. Legal basis for processing
Analytics data is processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you provide via the cookie banner on your first visit. Contact form and diagnostic submissions are processed on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — responding to a direct enquiry from you.
4. Data retention
Analytics data is retained for up to 12 months. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry, and deleted thereafter. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 6).
5. Data sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes. Analytics data is processed by PostHog under a data processing agreement. Email submissions are processed by Resend, our transactional email provider, solely for delivery purposes.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Withdraw consent for analytics at any time (clear your browser’s local storage, or contact us)
- Lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)

7. Cookies and local storage
We store your cookie consent preference in your browser’s localStorage under the key hixton_cookie_consent. No tracking cookies are set before you accept analytics. If you decline, no analytics data is collected during your visit.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be noted with a revised date at the top of this page.
